I AM a disgusted Stourbridge taxpayer. I've never shopped anywhere else but Stourbridge town, as I believe you should support your local town and all the small businesses within it. Yet last Sunday I went to Lucianos restaurant for a lovely meal with my family, only to find on returning to my vehicle it had been CLAMPED!

After phoning the telephone number left on my car, a while Volkswagen van (Registration number P623 DUY) with two large men in their late 40s pulled up behind me.

When getting out their vehicle with a clipboard they showed me some identification, then told me I must pay £95 within the hour or I will have my vehicle towed away at a cost of £395.

I explained to the two intimidating men that I thought the parking at the back of Victoria Passage was allocated parking for the passage way customers.

They responded by saying that the parking actually was private land and that they can clamp anyone without an appropriate parking permit.

I am writing to Stourbridge News as a devoted Stourbridge shopper and resident, in the hope that my information can prevent anymore unnecessary CLAMPING!

Beware of clamping sites: - 1)Talbot Hotel Car Park 2)Parking opposite Crystal Leisure Centre 3)Parking at the back of Somerfield/Glass pub 4)Parking at the back of Victoria Passage Rebecca Womer Norton
