I FEEL that I must write to you to air a few grievances I have with anti-social nit-wits in Wollaston, more specifically, Cobden Street.

Yesterday afternoon at around 4pm, I was out in my front garden enjoying the sunshine with my daughter.

The peace and quiet was disrupted by several youths shouting foul-mouthed obscenities from the top of the street, right down to Bright Street.

I had to take my daughter indoors so that she didn't have to listen to such filth.

It's a shame to say that this is a regular occurence on Cobden Street, especially on a Friday night when loutish youths parade down the street clutching cans of alcohol and mouthing off.

To protest about this to the perpetrators would undoubtedly lead to vandalised cars and gardens, I'm sure.

Unfortunately, it isn't just the young who appear to have no respect for residents.

Day after day, I am forced to walk in the road with my daughter's buggy because of people mounting and parking on the footpath (on double yellow lines!) outside the chiropractors at the top of Cobden Street.

Always middle-aged women and gents, too bone-idle to park their monstrous cars at the FREE carpark across the road.

Why is it that some people believe themselves to be above the same laws that the rest of us abide by?

This goes for the folk who park on the double yellows outside Spar, thus causing a dangerous obstruction for those trying to pull out of Duncombe Street as well!

It's a 30 second walk from a parking space to the shop. Stop being so lazy!

I would just like to point out to these people who seem hellbent on making life unpleasant for the rest of us that they aren't the only people in the world and a bit of consideration wouldn't go amiss.

It requires little to no effort to consider those around you!
