I CANNOT stress to you enough about the cars racing down our road.
We have lived at our address for the past 11 years now and over the years it has got gradually worse, especially while all of these roadworks have taken place at the bottom of Wordsley High Street.
People have always cut through Rectory Street and Queen Street but it is getting worse.
We have Fairhaven Primary School down here and a gullyway where sometimes the children will run out from, there has only got to be a car either zooming down or coming up from Barnett Street and race around the corner to knock a child or a pedestrian down it will only be a matter of time and then what?
So when you are driving down our Olde Rectory Street spare a thought for the people who have to live there.
Don't try and take my door off my car when your whizzing past and I'm trying to get my children out as safely as I can.
Spare a thought that this old quarter of Wordsley was once used for horse and carts and was not wide enough for an artic lorry to fit down.
If you all use your sense and dont exceed the speed limit it should be a safer place for everyone.
So please remember when you're driving down Rectory Street or Queen Street for this matter you have actually left the High Street,THINK, SLOW DOWN and SHOW SOME COURTESY for our NARROW! YES ! NARROW little streets. Thank you.
If you are a person that uses our street often and you do race up and down just think your risking lives.
Let's make our streets as safe as we can for our children and all who have to live in them.
