I am prompted to write in response to Fred Tye's letter "Pitt the younger needs lesson," printed in last week's paper.

Rarely have I encountered such an ill-conceived and appallingly illiterate tirade.

Perhaps Mr Tye could write again and explain what he means; this time using the language of the country whose drum he so belligerently beats?

If Mr Tye was intending to provide a rebuttal to "Pitt the younger" then he failed spectacularly in the attempt.

I suggest that Mr Tye, prior to giving Mr Pitt his "history lesson," takes a lesson himself... in how to properly communicate.
