MAY we take this opportunity to thank those at the Kinver Historical Society for hosting an excellent event at Kinver High School last Thursday evening.
The evening, part of the Kinver Edge Centenary Celebration was a great success despite being interrupted by a number of noisy protestors, apparently with a bee in their bonnet about hunting.
Fortunately the talk by lady from the National Trust, which was excellent, was not interrupted and when the protestors were eventually persuaded to leave, the evening continued with excellent contributions from local historians; Sue Wright from the Lee family and Peter Hodges.
The master of ceremonies deserves praise for the calm way he dealt with the disturbance and ran the second half of the evening as if nothing had happened with several humorous quips.
I wish all in Kinver well for the remaining events celebrating the centenary of the National Trust ownership of Kinver Edge.
