ON the Opinion Page on May 12, Joanne Richardson appeals for better behaviour from dogwalkers in Leasowes Nature Reserve; but just why do we admit dogs to any nature reserve? The dog is bred, so, in evolutionary terms, it is not natural and is also known to create chaos amongst vulnerable wildlife. Shouldn’t dog-lovers consider walking their pets around their own rear gardens, in a circle, or, for variation, a figure of eight?
