IN response to the letter sent by John Smith of Norton, referring to the beauty spot Kinver Edge.
I too walked around this beautiful place and I was also appalled, but not by the occasional cow-pat I encountered but the amount of litter dumped from the parents and children John Smith is suggesting need to be protected.
Does John Smith own and walk his dog over Kinver like hundreds of other people? Does he "collect" all his dog dirt up - unlike everyone else. I don't see a distinction between dog dirt and cow muck!
I have visited Kinver Edge most of my life (63) and have encountered the "offending cattle" a couple of times and have lived to tell the tale! They were far more afraid of me than I was of them.
What sad people we are becoming when demanding a "sanitised" countryside.
I find litter louts far more offensive and destructive to the countryside than a natural fertilisation of the odd cow or two.
