I WAS very interested in the article in last week's Stourbridge news by Craig Woodhouse on the beauty of Lancashire.
I was born and bred in the heart of "Pendle witch" country. As a child I regularly climbed Pendle Hill especially at Easter. On Good Friday it was tradition to roll easter eggs down the hill and there was always plenty of people taking part.
Lancashire is indeed a beautiful county and I miss it very much. Sadly I left Lancashire in 1975 because of my husband's employment but love to visit whenever I get the chance. I encourage anyone who has never visited this part of the north to give it a try.
