I FAIL to see any logic behind the thoughts of the writer of last week's letter concerning St James's School, Wollaston. Just because Charles Darwin's theory of Evolution can be shown to be broadly true does not mean that there is no God!
The benefit of modern science was not available to the ancient writers of the Old Testament, but their writings still contain many spiritual truths.
For instance, where they saw the creation of the existing world taking place in a few days, we now know that it developed in a series of great ages.
Can the writer not see the hand of God working through evolution even now?
The love of Jesus Christ, as taught by the church, and by teachers at St James's school, is available to him or her now, as well as to the rest of us.
It’s all there in the Gospels. Long may our local faith school continue to teach this truth.
