I AM responding to your very negative feature with regard to Kinver RIP.

As a resident of Kinver I am proud to live in such a beautiful village. The recent refurbishment in my opinion has improved the ambience of the High Street beyond my expectations.

The block paving has been carefully chosen so as it looks as if it has been there forever and the dressing of trees and iron work add to the vista.

I can appreciate that the multiple chicane are a bone of contention as a few have not been thoughtfully positioned however they have served their purpose and slowed the traffic down as requested on entering Kinver to 20 miles per hour.

Patience is needed if one has to momentarily pause to allow another car through but this should allow the occupants of the car to look out of their windows to observe the wealth of shops available and the beauty of the surroundings.

Should we always be in such a hurry?

I am saddened that the residents apparently do not patronise the village.

This is beyond my comprehension.

Why live in a village if you don’t use it?

We have a wonderful range of both traditional and unusual shops, pubs and eateries which if not used will close.

Who will be moaning then?

Okay, so some of the parking bays have been reduced but there are a lot of car parks behind the shops and they are FREE.

I have never had a problem parking.

What more could we want?

I challenge anyone to find such an immaculately presented village.

Remember we chose to live here. Wow, how lucky are we all?

If you don’t use it we will lose it. Get out there and enjoy and be proud you live here.

Such unnecessary press will keep the visitors away.

I believe the Black Country residents are very fortunate to only have to travel a few miles to experience such a wonderful village, canal, river and of course the spectacular Kinver Edge and Rock Houses.

All visitor are always welcome here.

Please come and look, admire and turn green with envy.
