STOURBRIDGE parents are being warned to be vigilant after reports that a man in a green van approached a school pupil on Tuesday.
Sally Sixsmith, headteacher at St James Primary School in Wollaston, said: “We had a report from a parent that a child was approached by a man in a van while walking home from school.
"Police have been informed and are looking into the matter.
"I would urge parents and children to be vigilant when walking home from school and report any issues to the appropriate authority and the school.”
The News initially learned about the alleged incident after a warning was issued to parents of children at Gig Mill Primary School in Norton.
In a text sent to parents a member of staff at The Broadway school said: “A local primary school has reported that one of their pupils was approached yesterday on the way home by a man in a green van. Please be extra vigilant. Thank you.”
