REDDITCH United have snapped up midfielder Jamey Osborne.
The highly-rated playmaker joins the Reds after making his mark for Conference North side Hednesford Town last season.
The 23-year-old came through the youth team at Keys Park but has now linked up with ambitious Southern Premier League outfit.
Compensation will have to be agreed between the two clubs or the matter refered to an FA tribunal.
Hednesford Town issued a statement on the transfer after failing in their attempts to contact Osborne over the summer.
The statement read: "Hednesford Town Football Club have today taken the decision to respond to reports on social media that midfielder Jamey Osborne has signed for Southern League Premier side Redditch United.
"Since the completion of the 2014/15 season, the football club have been keen to keep hold of Osborne and also help progress the career of a player whom we have developed from the youth team into a first team regular at Keys Park as the club climbed up to the Conference North.
"Despite numerous attempts to contact the 23-year-old, who has played almost 200 games for the Pitmen, the football club has been unable to get a response from Jamey as to his future intentions.
"If that (Redditch) is his intended destination then both clubs will have to agree a compensation fee or if unable to agree, to refer the case to an FA Tribunal for resolution."
