TOP of the table Stourbridge suffered a title setback after letting two points slip against Rushall Olympic.
It leaves the Glassboys lead at the top trimmed to just a couple of points following Kettering's dramatic 2-1 win over Rushden.
But the Glassboys could have few complaints with the 1-1 New Year's Day scoreline, especially as Rushall looked the more likely side to find a winner in the second half.
Rushall rocked the Glassboys by taking an eighth minute lead when an Ashley Sammons free kick wasn't cleared, presenting Sammons with another opportunity to cross the ball and this time former Halesowen Town favourite Asa Charlton was on hand to turn home.
Stourbridge were back level by the 15th minute when Robbie Thompson-Brown delivered a wicked free kick where Luke Benbow netted with the deftest of touches.
The big talking point of the first half arrived just after the half hour when Glassboys defender Stuart Pierpoint was beaten for pace by Pics striker Dylan Parker, who was clean through on goal when Pierpoint brought him down.
The defender escaped with a yellow card when many were expecting red.
Rushall took a considerable foothold of the game after half time and three times Danny Waldron went close.
The best chance arrived on 71 minutes when Waldron produced a magnificent run which started deep inside his own half and saw him race past Pierpoint and fellow defender Paul McCone before blazing wide.
Credit must also go to rookie Glassboys goalkeeper Niall Maher who kept his side in the game with a top class save, diving low to turn another goalbound effort from Waldron around the post.
In a frantic finish, Kaimon Anderson turned a great run and cross from Gregg Mills just wide of the mark on 83 minutes.
Then in stoppage time, Rushall goalkeeper Adam Przybek kept out shots from Mills and substitute Chekaine Steele.
Rushall could have snatched maximum points with the final move of the game, but Steele couldn't convert a cross in front of goal.
