udley Sports are set to go into overdrive in October as they gear up for eight games.
Sports were hit hard by postponements in both August and September and are now having to play catch-up.
The busy fixture list will also see them face daunting away day trips to West Midlands Premier Division rivals Ellesmere Rangers, Darlaston and Bewdley in the next month.
Sports played out a 0-0 draw away at Goodrich on Saturday and joint managers Paul Blakeley and Tony Gore believe they are heading in the right direction.
Gore said: “We really feel like we are going in the right direction.
“We know October will be difficult but the atmosphere and confidence in the squad is first class at the minute.”
Sports will host Wellington on Saturday and will once again be able to call upon the services of Damian Whitcombe.
The experienced left-sided player is on loan to Sports from Stourbridge for the foreseeable future as he bids to regain match fitness after breaking his ankle in pre-season.
Whitcombe played a big part in the Glassboys promotion to the BGB Premier Division last season.
Gore said: “Hopefully we will be able to call upon Damian’s services for another four or five games while he regains match fitness before he returns to Stourbridge.
“He a great bloke to have both on and off the pitch and he’s already proven himself to be very popular in the dressing room.”
Sports will travel to Ellesmere next Tuesday.
